In the latest years there has been an increasing request of online financial information. Those who tied to access this kind of information via Google, used to be sent to big rivals as Yahoo or MSN as the search giant did not provide this kind of facilities. Well, it will no longer happen starting from now on as Google has finally launched Google Finance service.

There is strong competition regarding the online financial services. Google seems to bring out something a little bit different like Stock Charts With News Events which enable the user to get more information regarding major events related to the stock like ups and downs. The best that I can do for you, at this point in time, is to deliver the first taste of Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1. Yes, I do agree it isn’t much, but at the same time, it’s better than nothing.

GrandCentral Ahh !! Amazing Concept again this  internet gaint had bought up with name as  Google GrandCentral. When i had read about the  G2-Central (Google GrandCentral) i was bit amazed and was waiting for this innovative service to be launched in my country. The concept given in G2 Central given by Google was peerless. Later , i read about some of the service of the GrandCentral which  works on the concept of One Mobile Number, One Inbox , One Message Box, One VoiceMail Box.The GrandCentral was internet service that uses

VoIP to link customers’ phone numbers together. Currently the service is in private beta and is accessible by invitation only; invitations can be obtained from existing members (though requests from the website’s “reserve” request are frequently responded to with an invitation from the beta team within 24 hrs). With an invitation, a new user can create an account on the service’s website and choose a central phone number. During the private beta the service is free; before the Google  acquisition there were plans to launch a $15 a month premium service.

Whenever the customer’s GrandCentral number is called, the chosen phone or phones ring, allowing the customer to answer her chosen phone. The phones can be chosen based on time of day; for example, the home phone can be turned off during business hours, and based on groups (Family, Friends, Work, Web Button, Others) or personalized based on an address book.GrandCentral is similar in concept to AT&T TrueConnect 500.

WELL-KNOWN TALENT.  In May, Google acquired Dodgeball, a mobile social-networking service. Using a wireless device, users can send a text message to their circle of friends, announcing that they will be at a certain coffee shop or hangout. In addition, users can be notified if friends-of-friends are within a certain vicinity. Google has not disclosed how it will incorporate the Dodgeball offering into its services.

Google bought Android in July for an undisclosed sum. The upstart adds to Google’s collection of talent and technology that it hopes to apply to this critical segment. “Wireless is the next frontier in search,” says Scott Ellison, analyst at research outfit IDC.

Rubin isn’t the only well-known Silicon Valley veteran joining Google via Android. Others coming over include Andy McFadden, who worked with Rubin at WebTV before helping develop the all-in-one set-top box for Moxi Digital; Richard Miner, former vice-president of technology and innovation at telecom outfit Orange before joining Android; and Chris White, who spearheaded the design and interface for WebTV in the late 1990s, before helping to found Android.

IBM India software lab in collaboration with CDAC(Centre for Development of Advanced Computing) has developed a speech recognition engine for India’s Mother language Hindi.The new Hindi speech recognition technology would provide a better human computer interface for the Indian users.

The latest technology would help transcribe continuous Hindi instantly into the text form and can be easily integrated in variety of applications such as voice-enabled ATMs, car navigation systems, banking, telecom, railways and airlines, said IBM India Research Laboratory Director, Daniel Dias.

The Speech engine is capable of recognizing more than 75,000 Hindi words and that too with the variation of dialects spoken in different parts of India with the accuracy levels of 90-95%.

The speech engine also incorporates a spell checker to correct spoken words which enhances accuracy .It also has many useful and user friendly features like converting text to digits and decimals ,date and currency format and into fonts which could be imported to any windows based application.

Paste the link in a download manager which supports rtsp like Flash get and start downloading.

Techfest 2005 also came up with a problem statement only for school students – Junior, so that bright and young minds can be tapped earlier. Technoholix at Techfest 2005 was a phenomenal success. On display was David Coulthard’s McLaren – the first time ever a Formula 1 racer was on display in a college fest in India. This was accompanied by a spectacular laser show that left the audience awe-struck.

We’ve always known that Google has wanted to challenge Microsoft’s desktop dominance in a number of areas, but to date we didn’t know that extended to gaming.Hidden inside Google Earth is a secret Flight Simulator that takes full advantage of Google’s extensive satellite imagery.

To access the hidden feature, open Google Earth and hit Command+Option+A (note it must be capital A) or Ctrl+Alt+A if you’re using a Windows Machine.

The Google Earth Flight Simulator comes with two aircraft options, a F16 Viper and the more manageable SR22 4 seater. Players have the option of commencing the game from their current location in Google Earth or can pick from a list of pre-determined runways. Control instructions can be found here.

Overall the game play is fairly simple in terms of control, but the striking difference is flying over real pictures of locations. I took a quick flight from San Francisco International, headed North to the Golden Gate then turn back over the city before heading towards the Valley. It wasn’t perfect, but it was as good visually as the paid Microsoft Flight Simulator, and in terms of actually presenting real objects it was better.
